I’ll get a chance to play some outside as well but I’ll be coming in as a nickel corner and I think it’s a good fit for me. I can cover those quicker, slot receivers and make plays for them. Not many schools do a better job developing DBs then UW and playing in the NFL is definitely a goal of mine so I’m excited about the opportunity.”

Participant06/13/2020 at 6:23 pm #17286He reminds me of Adoree Jackson. Small but plays RB, WR, Nickel, CB, KR, and PR in high school and excels at any position you put him at. He just doesn’t have the elite top end speed Adoree had but that can change in the weight room. His speed is closer to Budda Baker level which is still good enough to be a baller. I’m not mad at taking a natural football player with football in his blood. He knows how to play the game and has natural instincts that are hard to coach.
I don’t care about the star ratings as long as the guys we’re getting are ballers with NFL talent and I’m seeing a lot of obvious NFL talent on our commit list right now, most of which is rated “3-stars”. The problem is, other recruits do care about the ratings. 4 and 5 stars want to play with other 4 and 5 stars and right now, our commit list makes us look like we’re TCU and we’re just lucky a 5-star QB happens to be a UW legacy twice over.
I have not seen a UW target list so criminally underrated in my life and it’s fucking annoying. Tunuufi, Spears, Peihopa, Moore, Fano, Heims, and Jefferson are all EASY 4-star guys. There’s a legit argument for some of them to be ranked 5-stars and yet they’re all 3-stars? Jesus fucking Christ! What in the fuck is going on with these rankings this class? Do Biggins and Huffman enjoy UW making them look bad by pumping guys they rated “3-stars” into the NFL year after year? Even if/when UW has a great season and gets exactly who they want at most positions, this class is not going to be rated anywhere close to where it should be if these retarded ass individual rankings don’t change along the way. But good luck getting those two clowns to take Oregon’s dick out of their mouths long enough to realize how underrated those guys are and do something about it.

Exactly right. Good or bad right or wrong CFB and BB has become kids emulating the NBA when it comes to goods wanting to play with goods.
I will always remember after the Peach Bowl, when Pete was so blown away at how much bigger/faster/stronger Bama was than us. He saw it on tape and knew, but after witnessing it in person, you could see how much in awe of it he was.
The next 3 classes were spent trying to significantly narrow that gap. This year’s class so far is a major major step back from that.

It’s not though. The past three classes, they recruited the fuck out of the line scrimmage and got bigger at all positions. I don’t see the body types that we’re recruiting right now being a step down from that. All the RB’s we’re recruiting are going to be 6’0 210+ in college. We won’t take a receiver shorter than 6’1 unless he has elite speed. The TE’s we want are 6’5 and 6’6 in Moore and Olsen. The OLB’s we’re recruiting are all 6’4 or 6’5. Wyrsch is 6’7. Spears is 6’3. Peihopa is 6’3 305 in high school. The only “undersized” guys we’ve taken so far are Voi and now Dyson but 6’1 for a DT and 5’9 for a nickel are still pretty common heights, even for guys in the NFL. The team is still being built to be big and physical. If these top of the board UW targets were simply rated what they’re supposed to be rated, we’d be sitting pretty right now. But they’re not and that’s frustrating. Perhaps if Troy didn’t see such a huge disparity between the star ratings of our class versus Oregon’s class right now, he would have held off on committing this early. That’s why we’re all so fucking pissed every year when UW doesn’t build enough momentum in the Spring as far as star rating go. You have to play the fucking game just like everybody else and get some 4-star guys early to build momentum. No amount of underrated 3-stars are going to do that.
