Fabian Ross gone to usc. I know this was covered in the recruiting thread, but this deserves its own thread.

Our DB recruiting has gone into the tank since Harris was brought on board. Time to fire his worthless ass.

If you have under performing assistant coaches that’s a head coach problem not an assistant problem. I thought Jimmy was going to be “aggressive” in all areas of Husky football. Guess he has a blind spot about staff.

Jimmy Lake has allowed way too many liabilities on his coaching staff. This staff in some ways reminds me of the first Sark coaching staff. Where it’s very clear early on you have three dead weight coaches in Gregory, KB and Will Harris.

Those three bring absolutely nothing to the table. This doesn’t include the fact you have other coaches on the staff where the jury is out but their trend isn’t looking good either.

Next year will be fine with all the returning starters but after that this program is fucked unless:
A) Jimmy starts valuing job performance over friendship.
B) Jimmy gets over his Petersen driven arrogance that thinks this coaching staff can outcoach/outdevelop more talented teams and win.

I’m not confident either one happens.

Sucks losing Ross but Branch will be real killer. His brother is amazing too.

If we dont get top secondary palyers this year, it will be rather ridiculous. There is no way a single team on the West Coast can even get close to our DB development last 6 years. Budda BAker is literally the highest paid safety in the league. Should be easy…

One caveat tho is that althought Zakhari Spears is a 3 star I think his ceiling is much higher. He might be able to rescue this 2021 class. I trust Jimmy Lake in identifying talent. I beleive Spears was our first offer at CB in the entire 2021 cycle, please correct me if I am wrong. Regardless, he was an early early offer, which leads me to beleive that he is vastly underrated. WE didnt even offer Ceyair Wright, his high school teammate, who was a high 4 star.

Are we not sure he’s a double agent for them? In 3 years here who has he pulled? You can see where this is going DB wise like watching a slow moving car crash.

If not next year, then the following one we can put to bed that not giving up 35 ppg streak we have going. Then what is UW twitter going to be able to trumpet?

I don’t think Harris is a bag of shit but his recruiting has been so far.

Problem with Harris and Bonapha is they were weak recruiters, before Petersen quit.

Harris has got to figure out this year. Someone needs to light a fire under Bonapha’s ass. Lazy ass recruiter who keeps settling for mediocre prospects from Texas.

Will Harris is the equivalent of KB. Period.
