Puka (#12) is back and full go. Watch him use his bounce to GET UP for a big time catch. Kid is a freak athlete. Just throw the ball anywhere near him and he’s gonna catch it. On paper, you’re looking at a massive upgrade in talent at the WR position compared to the beginning of last season. Also, my dude Rich Newton likes to truck people. Haven’t seen much of that since my dude C. Polk was running the rock for UW. Maybe an extra week for this team to prepare and a softer opponent to start the season isn’t such a bad thing.

UW is going to pound that rock all first half and then when they have OSU seeing ghosts they’re going to hit you over the top.
De Laura is getting a LOT of time to throw. Without pressure from the edge it could be a long day for the Beavers.

Yup, Oregon State’s front seven is horrible. Tiny JUCO looking D-line. A former QB starting at ILB for them who is really bad. That TD run before half time by WSU on the goal line was met with zero resistance. Their RB just walked into the end zone.
UW should have their way running the ball which will set up the play action bombs nicely. Just need the QB to not turn it over a bunch of times and it should be a blowout allowing them to play multiple QB’s in garbage time. Garbers might even get some playing time.

Participant11/07/2020 at 10:46 pm #20423Yeah, should not be a very demanding game. Plenty of time to work on the ground game then make deep strikes.
I think our QB play will be very mediocre however. Just not convinced about Morris or Thomson.
de Lauria at WSU is probably better than what we have.

I don’t think that comment about our QB’s versus de Lauria is going to age well. Especially after the Apple Cup.

Participant11/08/2020 at 5:59 am #20428The problem is with no Spring ball and very limited practices no one knows what the QBs really look like. We get curated snippets of plays. I go back to Dylan Morris and his skillset coming out of GK. He’s mobile, reads defenses and properly checks down. Has a decent enough arm.
De Laura did good but as always the peanut brigade Coog fans are already proclaiming him the savior and a “problem” for the rest of the Pac-12.You can’t make that assertion unless you’ve seen a QB make the right reads and throws under pressure. And he’s going to play teams that bring a LOT more pressure.

Participant11/12/2020 at 10:04 pm #20453Cal and Oregon State players are obviously injecting themselves with AIDS, I mean COVID, to try to sabotage their games against UW because they don’t want to catch this ass whooping. It’s so fucking easy not to get COVID as a regular person. It’s even easier as a college football player who’s supposed to be isolated and only coming in contact with others in a controlled environment. It worked for Cal. That Cal D-lineman who tested positive took one look at UW’s O-line depth chart and was like “Nope, I’d rather catch COVID”. It ain’t gonna work for the Beavs.
Prediction: UW wins 45-23. OSU gets three field goals against our starters and then two TD’s in garbage time against our backups.

Participant11/13/2020 at 8:22 am #20454I am expecting a big game from UW run the ball hopefully get Cam Davis involved early the O-Line is dominant. I’m not giving up on our QB’s I think it will be Sirmon. I expect Pucua to get loose and Ty Jones to play like he is trying to get to the NFL. The D-Line should dominate, I expect Latu and Smalls to record a sack, I think the middle linebackers will be mediocre and the achiles heel all year. Jimmy is going to want to set a tone. Fuk 11:00 pm games the scheduling is atrocious this year.
UW 45-10

There is also some concern around the Pac-12 now about Saturday's Oregon State-Washington game as well on the Beavers side. I'm told there is talk inside the Pac-12 about Cal possibly playing Washington on Sunday. This Sunday.
