@Sonics1993 – Any word on the OC hire? Is Chip Long a real candidate?
He wanted Yurcich but looks like Texas will get him. I have heard a couple of intriguing names for OC but can’t say there names yet.
Bummer about Yurcich. If Harrell had taken the UT job like initially expected then we likely land Yurcich then.

I am sure Lake is going to try to close this hire as quickly as possible with the possible early entrants he has to try to persuade to stay. From a personal standpoint I hope it doesn’t drag on too much longer, haha. I am super curious what other moves may be coming, I tend to think two more coaches could be jettisoned, Bonopha (obviously as others have said) and Gregory can’t be comfortable at all (as teq mentioned). I believe that this initial move happened so we could hire our OC ASAP, others will be later in the process, most likely before coaches convention or shortly after if Lake gets a good feel on other candidates.

Have to think the new OC will want to bring in a couple of his own guys. KB would be the obvious next person to go. I feel pretty confident Huff and Adams will be retained.

Thoughts on OSU OC Brian Lindgren? Seems underwhelming but he appears to be highly regarded despite Jimmy shutting OSU down this year. A poster on Doogman says he’s a candidate. Not a splashy hire though and I think Jimmy can do better.

Count me as underwhelmed with a Lindgren hire.
Jimmy needs a heavy hitter, both to give us the best chance to keep Skinny for one more year, but also to really oversee/CEO the offense.

Point still holds (even with Skinny gone), and all the more important with a new starter under center.
Recruiting matters – and someone like Chip Long will carry more weight in the living room than Lindgren.

Would also render Jimmy’s comments about an offense that’s hard to stop utter horse hockey.
OSU’s 7 points came off a Pick6 the whole stadium saw coming.
We also wrecked the CU offense on multiple occasions while Lindgren was the OC there.
I’ll go on the record and say my 2 word take on the hire if it’s Lindgren
