Joe Tryon flashed considerably early in 2018, his 2nd year and earned a lot more time, later that season. His 2019 was mixed but he did improve enough to be a first round pick after only 3 years.
ZTF came out of nowhere seemingly to be an All-American in his 3rd year.
Feeney and Littleton were monsters in their 4th year.
Oh and recall Joe Mathis in his 4th year was a mid-season All-American and on his way to being a high draft pick.
Ryan Bowman despite lacking athleticism has graded out well.
I think the ZTF injury is potentially devastating to our chances to win the league.
But perhaps Smalls and Trice are going to make huge leaps?
Smalls could have had a few sacks last year if not for ZTF. This will be Trice’s 3rd year. He’s up to 6’4 255. Note, he took visits to Notre Dame and Oregon. So he’s not some total project. He does have talent.
