Good shit. I won’t fault Eason if he declares given all the uncertainty around the new offensive system but it just seems like there’s essentially zero way he doesn’t improve his draft stock by coming back next year. Eason is a known commodity to scouts in terms of his athletic ability and arm talent and that is what’s mostly buoying his draft position at this point. Something really crazy would have to happen for him to fall further from where he currently is if he were to come back for his Senior year. While the downside seems small the upside seems huge. Come back to a team with much better offensive scheme/coaching(assumed) combined with much better talent at WR and it looks like a significant bump in statistics is very likely.

He’ll be a senior QB leading a team that should win the conference and potentially challenge for a NY6 game. Just Herbert doesn’t have half the natural talent that Eason has and the media is eating up the “locally-gown senior QB” narrative which is definitely hyping his draft stock. Eason will have the same thing next year combined with a shittier QB draft class.

Just saw a 3rd Round evaluation from some site on Eason. No way I’m accepting 3rd round if I’m Eason. That’s losing a lot of money.

He’s at best a bottom of the 1st round pick and I don’t think that’s a high degree of certainty at this point.

I’d probably recommend making the decision based on who the OC is.
