I think it’s safe to say your “sources” suck. They said everyone was coming back and that GA was coming.

If there was even a 1% chance he was coming here then we wouldn’t have hired TB.

I’m not suuuuuper worried about the RB situation. I think Cam Davis will be our next star, and while he gets up to speed, Dick Newton and McGrew have quite a bit of experience. Dick had like 10 TDs this year, and while I prefer him as a short yardage guy, he can probably get 10-15 carries a game and do well.

What if Davis gets hurt tho?
Newton looked better in the bowl but still has a long way to go. He’s an average Pac-12 back now and I wouldn’t expect a leap until 2021.

That makes zero sense. Why would he want to coach LBs and why would we hire someone who’s never coached the position to coach it?

Just curious… why is everyone so high on cam Davis? He wasn’t that highly rated of a recruit, film was solid but didn’t blow me away, played only a couple snaps this year…. what am I missing?

That makes zero sense. Why would he want to coach LBs and why would we hire someone who’s never coached the position to coach it?
It doesn’t make sense for him to double his income and be a co-DC?
Position coaches can move around. Coaching DB’s then LB’s (if deemed up to it by Lake) would help him on the path to being a DC.
