California has been resting on reputation. Hindsight being 20/20 it’s becoming a bit more obvious
you cannot trust just any evaluation of a player. The perennial powerhouse like Bosco have had players translate well but there were many players from smaller schools that just didn’t make it.
Proper talent evaluation is more critical than ever

That was my thought. Maybe do a little research before you post garbage.

Point taken. He was the only one I didn’t do research on and Offensive Lineman don’t get a lot of shine during the game like Defensive line. Consider him redacted.

Participant01/05/2020 at 12:52 pm #1898I remember watching Jack Jones play in one of the All American and remembered thinking “he doesn’t look all that good to me”. Wasn’t surprised when he busted.
Even Michael Pittman became a solid player but he’s not going to make NFL DB scared.
David Long got drafted so he did pretty going to Michigan.
2017
Jaelen Phillips busted. Transferred to Miami
Najee Harris – likely going to the NFL
Colby Parkinson is doing well.We missed out big on Wyatt Davis. He’s road grading at OSU.
Deommodor Lenoir – a tad overrated.
DJ Johnson busted at Miami – transferred to Oregon.
Joseph Lewis – domestic violence (guys girlfriends in college is taking sand to the beach…when will you learn)Jack Sears SC- Transfer Porton
Hunter Echols – Remember when we were so high on Hunter? What a shame.Oregon punched above their weight with CJ Verdell. We did with Terrell Bynum (Mater Dei and Bosco respectively)
Darney Holmes – Ahhh should have been a Husky
I’m cool with us giving a scholly to James Smith from Bosco. We’ve done well with Bosco players..they are well coached. This is a valuable pipeline.

Keymaster01/05/2020 at 11:15 pm #1958Jonah Williams was not a bust. Costello is definitely not a JAG.
Some of these guys would have fared much better in Pete’s program.
Leveling up in recruiting while we can is more important than ever.
If Boner and Gregory are still on staff, then apparently we don’t care about that.

This is exactly what a Duck plant would say.

I was talking about Dennis, some idiot on twitter said that he sounded like a duck fan who pretended to be a UW fan.

Well that’s awkward. My apologies. I must really dislike Oregon because I get triggered when someone calls me a Duck. No other team bothers me.

Participant01/07/2020 at 10:48 am #2005@Wilburhookshand what you think Pittman’s gonna run? I think he’s a 4.6 guy which is why i’m a bit worried about him and Vaughns.
I’m curious now. Let me pull the Top 5 Receivers for 2019 Season and see what their Forty times are to see if there’s any correlation.
1. Michael Thomas – 4.57 (looking good)
2. Julio Jones – 4.34
3. Chris Godwin – 4.42
4. Travis Kelce – 4.63 (at 6’5 of course)
5. DeVonte Parker – 4.45Yeah given these results its likely that if Vaughns and Pittman run low 4.6 or high 4.5x their size and skill should allow them to find success.
Apologies to anyone who was put off by my shoddy work. I’m trying to contribute a bit. Will tighten my shit up in the fyutur.

I appreciate that you’re trying to get conversation going. A bit off on some of these points, but if any of us were actually smart we wouldn’t be following UW football to begin with. You’re among friends lol.

Participant01/07/2020 at 11:41 am #2011@MillenialDoog Thank you brother. I’m on 4 hours of sleep and have young pups. I woke up cranky but I love y’all and don’t even know you. The post football depression is setting in. I’ll watch UW Bball but football is my true love.
