If MC is gone their program is effectively dead.
HIGH DRAMA RN because Jhop doesn’t have a definitive answer and Cristobal is going to have a presser at 6:00 pm.
If Cristobal doesn’t give a good answer it might be worth paying for.

Keep in mind. I think MC is a decent coach that honestly should strike while the Iron’s hot. If he stays I’m not overly concerned beyond he’s a good recruiter.
That being said Auburn makes sense for plenty of reasons. If you can recruit Top 5 to Oregon then Auburn is infinitely easier.
Saban is gonna retire likely within 4 years. All the next Auburn coach needs to do is recruit like a madman and try to run the yard when Bama changes coaches.
MC is a Florida guy. Auburn to Florida is an easy trip. It’s literally a hop skip and jump from home. This is one of the dangers of hiring coaches from the East. The pull is always to head back closer to the roots.
I think it simply comes down to how much Auburn wants MC and the dollaz and cents
If he learned anything from Willie he “won’t be talking about any of that RUMOR STUFF”.
What’s the latest word? Sounds like he gave the canned vague responses at the presser.

I’m not saying He Gone. But I think Auburn is saying the right things and the Early Signing Period for Oregon is about to get really interesting.
We as a program aren’t mad at Pete. He left the program in better shape with a capable staff and young HC on the rise. Mario learned this season with high profile opts outs that the players eventually do what’s in their best interest. Coaches live under the same rules.
At Oregon you’re always going have to chase recruits over the country and hope they don’t decommit if a better offer comes along. At Auburn you can promise recruits big games, leverage a history act includes national championships.
We’ll see.
I wouldn’t get too excited TBH, but even if he leaves and some turmoil ensues, the enemy we know may better than his replacement (Sark, many have suggested).

Sark is a terrible head coach.
The irony of Sark at Oregon would be fucking hilarious. After years of shitting on him when he was the head coach at UW and USC, Oregon fans would then have to twist their delusional minds into believing he’s a good head coach and the right coach for them.
