There should be a lot of optimism for Jimmy Lake, even with the Donovan debacle.
He can recruit. His players play for him. He’s seen the shitshow on offense for 6 years and now has complete control over it.

But the issue here is not the hire but how it went down. Only interviewed 2 guys. We don’t have an AD that could have helped get a real search going.
I still have a hard time believing JL only interviewed 2 people for the OC job… From what I heard he knew that this would be the biggest hire of his career and that “there would be no way he wasn’t going to get the right guy”.
