There’s still something off about Oregon and USC until their staffs are gone. Oregon can get recruits there like no one’s business but it was the local guys that Helfrich and taggert got that won them a rose bowl. These new recruits just don’t seem that interested and it showed on the field.
And they looked really soft except against SC.
SC is a joke, should have lost to both Arizona schools and UCLA.
Unless a staff and school come out of nowhere (ASU maybe) we should expect 3 conference titles minimum with how much of a mess the other schools are.

As it stands right now, 2021 looks to be our best chance in the next 2-3 years. We lose a lot after this next season and we haven’t been restocking the cupboard as well as we need to
USC is going to see a similar dip after 2021
They’re recruiting skill positions well again now but their OL/DL recruiting has been underwhelming the last couple cycles. Oregon is a big wild card. They’ve been Stacking talent but have some holes to fill for 2021 and coaching question marks beyond that. They will have a sizaable talent advantage over us starting in 2022 so this year has to be our year. And we must start recruiting better now -

I don’t see any less than four this decade and I think that’s being conservative. I wouldn’t be surprised if they won four the next six seasons.

We still have the best player development in the conference. K wasn’t developing anyone as a DC who recruits around one player per year.
We’re a top 3 program in the conference, conservatively. Even Oregon fans would admit that. So expecting 2-4 wins isn’t unreasonable.

2 isn’t. 4 is. Figure us, Oregon, and SC are gonna split up 8 out of 10, with the other 2 going to some 1-off team who has some great year then falls back to Earth. Getting 4 of those 8 isn’t realistic when the other 2 teams in question both have more talent and are out recruiting us

Coach K is a great developer of talent.
We’ve lost K and Pete, so there is a legit question about development moving forward.
This question is what do you think Vegas would set it at, not predict how many we’d win.
I think the answer is 1.5.
If Pete is still coach, its probably 2.5-3.

He always gets a pass for bad recruiting and an underperforming unit he specifically oversees. Shaw beat his ass down this year.

We are about to witness a golden era of UW football. It will be hard for this team NOT to win the conference most seasons. It’s not like they’re competing against Pete Carroll-led USC or Chip Kelly-led Oregon. This is a weak conference UW should and likely will dominate most years from here on out.
