Oregon owns UW in everything

We have seen two different mens sports programs hold a lead at home virtually throughout the entire game. Two different coaching styles and yet Oregon still rallied to defeat UW and pull off a victory. What can we do to change this? This is deeper than fast stragety, slow etc. Oregon has come into our house and stolen victories despite UW having the best player on the field in both games and that player playing at his absolute best.

Start recruiting basketball players instead of athletes. Maybe some players who can actually shoot?

You have to recruit a couple of shooters.

Would be nice to have a couple Juniors and Seniors on the basketball team that have the poise and experience necessary to close out games instead of being lead by true Freshman every season. UW is not Kentucky. We cannot recruit enough 5-star talent to overcome the youth we have to rely on every season. One or two one-and-done guys every year is fine, as long as the team always has a stable of veterans that know how to play the game and have the confidence and poise to not give up massive leads at the end of games.

As far as Oregon goes, I think UW football is right around the corner from dominating them and the rest of the conference again. We just need a QB that’s a baller and an OC that’s not an idiot. That’s how close they are because every other position on the team is stacked with talent and we know the defense will be elite again.

UW basketball is just a headache right now. I don’t see how they can be better next season without Stewart and McDaniels. But who knows? Maybe some of them will actually learn how to shoot a basketball? They’ve only had years and years to practice. Try-hards at the YMCA can shoot better than some of these guys.
