I have been firmly in this camp for awhile but, with the Michigan announcement, my resolve is clearer than ever: MOVE THE SEASON TO THE SPRING!
While nothing is promised with the spring, the odds of a CFB season being somewhat normal are astronomically higher than they would be now. In fact, moving to the spring could allow for schedules to be maintained (including a Michigan game) and, in my mind most importantly, the ability for tailgates and fans.
If in am being honest, the last point has always been the selling point for me. I love football, obviously I do. But husky football is so much more than the game for me. Meeting up with my college friends and spending time on Montlake is one of the highlights of my year. I would much rather wait a couple extra months and get to see games in person and maybe even a normal schedule than I would this conference only + no fans half season that we would have instead.
