What a gut punch. Now we know why they went after Martin.
Where are you getting this from Chest? Was in mentioned in Lake’s presser?
That is fucking horrible. He had so much potential and upside we never got to see and he never got to realize. Football just isn’t fair sometimes. That’s another huge recruting win for the program that won’t materialize into any real value on the field.
Same can be said for Puka Nacua and Sama Paama. We can’t keep losing elite talent like that. We’re not Alabama. We need all of our best talent to stay on the roster and become what we hoped they would become when they put pen to paper.
Hopefully Martin realizes his fullest potential at UW and his addition balances out the loss of Latu.
If Sirmon is still the starting Lb, this team isn’t winning the league this year.
I really hope we can get Gaotete but it will be tough. He’s following Texas coaches now.
I had hoped Heimuli or Calvert (or Ah You) would supplant Sirmon by now.
Bookie was a huge pickup and I think Hampton at safety will add something. But we have to shore up ILB.

In listening to his breakdown of the qb’s (all 3) as of right now I think he believes they are all jag’s at best. Obviously not fair to Huard, but both him and Cam Cleeland both have major concerns about any of the 3’s ability to…[Read more]
Christian Capel at The Athletic (https://theathletic.com/2509923/2021/04/09/washington-spring-practice-talking-defensive-scheme-tweaks-and-other-observations-on-day-2/) with an interesting quote from Bob Gregory:
“You’ve got to talk about it, there’s no doubt,” Gregory said. “I think it was around 200 yards (per game) that we gave up last year…[Read more]
