Hey look someone doesn’t hate our new offense. I like hearing this a lot more than when Gabers was quoted saying he was studying the Jags playbook…

“I like the offense honestly,” Racanelli said. “I think it’s going to be real receiver friendly. We’re asked to do a lot of things and I think we’re going to get a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field.”

“I have been studying what they have sent us and I think it’s going to be a fun offense for us. We’re going to do a lot of different things and I think it will be fun to play in.”

I hope they don’t mean bubble screens, tunnel screens, and quick screens when they talk about “A lot more things”. Penn State fans said that was what half of his plays were. At least it’s a lot of different things rather than Hamden’s bullshit. I’m holding out a little hope now.

That’s what you do when your offensive line sucks so bad you have to move a defensive lineman to O-line and he’s one of your starters. You get the ball out as fast as possible. JD walked into a shitty situation at Penn State and got scapegoated for it. UW gives him the personnel to do what he really wants to do.

I think it’s gonna be hard to stop but we’ll see what this new O-line looks like. The one thing I’m looking for is Luke Wattenberg on the bench his Senior season. If I see that happen from the jump, that’s when I’ll know we are no longer a beta offense and are serious about physically dominating people. All I want to see is LT: Kirkland, LG: Bainivalu, OC: Mele, RG: Ale OR Murao, and RT: Curne. If I see that I’ll be like: “okay, Jimmy Lake is serious about being physical”. If they roll Watty out there against Michigan my dick will be limp and the offense will be average. And it’s nothing personal against Watty. I’m sure he works hard and he isn’t a total scrub. But there is something that is unlocked psychologically for an offense when you have five BIG, athletic, nasty motherfuckers across the board on the O-line. Everybody on offense becomes more confident and defenses are intimidated and get worn out in the 4th quarter. Having a runt like Watty in there just kills that big-dick, alpha vibe and I’m fucking sick of it. It’s time for UW to be the bullies again and blast motherfuckers off the ball.

Penn St threw a bunch of bubble screens and short passes because Christian Hackenberg was inaccurate on mid and long throws (this is from a Penn St sports writer in an interview on one of the Husky Podcasts)
