My favorite is how much they are triggered by Ballz. So much that they are looking for husky fans to reassure them Ballz is really wrong and everything is terrible with state of UW and we envy you.
This is like Coog fans getting triggered over Softy.
Ballz is pretty much spot on with Oregon. Barring them finding a Heismann talent at QB they’re going to be good but not great. The hype train has a bit too strong.
They open with NDSU. This is basically a FBS playing in FCS. Duck fans are going to expect this to be a blowout because everyone they should be in the plays to keep Knights checks rolling in. They’ll beat NDSU but it won’t look at all. There will be many questions.
tOSU– Oregon will hang close in the first half. Ohio State will pull away in the 2nd half. The sentiment after Oregon loses will be “we struggled against NDSU and got beat handily by Ohio State”. The self doubt will be strong at this point.
UW. Oregon will know that a UW loss kills their season. Ballz is correct suddenly they’ll stressing about decomittments and a bunch of other things. Their season is riding on maintaining this incredible hype and two losses and a poor showing in the first 4 games will disastrous.
As for the UW. They saw us on the field ..why would anyone familiar with the game of football think that the UW is going to suck this year? You have a Senior and Sophomore DB that graded out 90 percentile. A truckload of DT that redshirted last year and a group of WR that didn’t get to play last year because Petersen was loyal to mcMidgets.
This team is going to be bigger and faster and meaner. This Oregon hype isn’t going to work with us.
I must see the Troy Dye “W” flip gif 10-15 times per day. And that’s because I have one friend who went to Oregon and he likes just about every tweet containing that gif, so a bunch pop up on my feed.
It triggers me every time.
Oregon will always be little brother. The reason why? They always need validation from UW. No matter how terrible our program is or how great they are doing they need UW fans to praise them.
During 2016-2018 I didn’t even think about Oregon as they are irrelevant.
Also think Oregon will have more growing pains at QB. I don’t get why their fans/national media is so worried about UW’s QB room but so confident in Oregon’s. Sirmon was ranked higher than their guy, Morris was ranked higher than Millen. Nothing has changed positive or negative since the High School rankings for anyone to change their mind.

Yeah but Shough looked really good in Spring practice guys! At least that’s what I’ve been told. All the quarterbacks on both rosters suck until they don’t. The difference is, UW is better than Oregon everywhere else besides QB so it’s only reasonable for UW to be the real favorite in the North. Anything less than another trip to the Pac-12 title game is a failure. Oregon’s hype train will be coming to a crashing hault. Just two more months.
I dunno about any of that, but this rivalry is something else right now. As painful as it has been the last 2 years, the Pac 12 needs to pump this harder than anything right now. Seattle and Portland markets may not be LA/SF, but this is real college football. SEC even has to respect this. They won’t of course, but they should.

Softy is the OAN to Husky sports. It’s comical that Coug fans take him seriously tho.
