Calvert a possibility too now.

Come home JTT
Participant07/05/2020 at 7:28 pm #18209I haven’t heard that. Where did you hear that at?
Yes. Between Prentice, JTT, Emeka, Bowers, and the possibility of flipping I feel like one is reasonable.
Calvert a possibility too now.

Participant07/05/2020 at 7:34 pm #18210@sonics- what is your guess? And if a guy we currently have ends up as a 4 star does that count?

No that doesn’t count. There are some guys Washington is doing well with but the question is do they have enough to close. That is still a trait I have yet to see Jimmy have as a head coach and was curious what your guys confidence level was going forward.

Eklund started pumping the Calvert rumors this past week. He said that the idea that Calvert wanted to “take his own path” and not follow his brothers was overblown, and that UW and UCLA are now ahead of UCLA in his recruitment.
I purposely excluded him because I know how this board feels about Eklund, lol.
EDIT: Sorry, meant to quote Come Home JTT.

07/05/2020 at 7:53 pm #18215I’m holding out hope that with limited spots left, this staff can put the full court press on the big three over the next 6-8 months or however long it’ll take them to make their decision.

Are you any more optimistic than you were a few weeks ago? Or still feeling around the same?

Participant07/05/2020 at 8:23 pm #18217“Under” would be a major fail. Even if that one commit is JTT…with that said, if are coaches suddenly put it together (maybe with the help of a good season) we still have a shot at a very good class

I think there was a learning curve but Jimmy isn’t an idiot. I think this change we have seen with urging guys to commit means he may have learned his lesson a little but. Not saying we are in the clear now and everyone will commit going forward but I think the idea that maybe Lake needed 6 months to get his sea legs isn’t unrealistic.
And maybe he can light a fire under the asses of some of his assistants he decided to extend.

Participant07/06/2020 at 11:57 am #18237I’m voting over. I don’t want to live in a world where UW can’t land more than 2 more quality recruits.

Keymaster07/06/2020 at 12:40 pm #18239The question should be about 5 stars. And yes, I think we get 1 more 5 star. I also think we will get more 4 stars.

Participant09/04/2020 at 10:01 pm #19520Down to two targets in JTT and Emeka. They got one four star commit in Owens since this post but odds don’t look great for them getting a second.

Hey sonics thanks for the post. Is this from intel you are receiving?
I know JTT is close to the vest in all but in all honesty with the poor recruiting class im surprised he has not
eliminated us from contention? As for Emeka, Junior Adams is a great recruiter, but all I heard is he does
not want to stay in state despite it -

Participant09/06/2020 at 8:10 am #19522Emeka is a Dawg. He doesn’t want to leave WA but he will to play in a decent passing offense.
JTT- don’t have a clue really.
Honestly I’m ok with a smaller unheralded class. These are the classes that overachieve.

Unless there is a miracle, why would either at this point want to play with lower talent?

I can buy that take for JT….but Emeka. Less talent? The #1 QB in the country with the 2020 #6 and 2019 #8 WR in the country?
