It’s been painfully obvious to everyone that he won a Rose Bowl as a bad coach. Darnold balled out against UW and Penn St and that had nothing to do with him.

Year 6.

UCLA is shining with Chip right now but his previous seasons with them have been fireable performances. He still hasn’t proven to be good there, just because he beat a horrible Orgeron coached LSU team.

UW, SC, UCLA are just operating on different wavelengths than Oregon. Different set of expectations

I know that UW will can Donovan, end of this year at the latest. But those of you that don’t like Jimmy, I think it’s coming where Rip, db coaches, Donovan, are let go but Gregory, Malloe, Huff, and Adams are safe and Jimmy will get another 2-3 seasons with another set of coordinators.

Oregon has Phil Knight to pay the expenses. Not comparable situations.

Oregon has only made 2 bad hires in 12 years. One they fired after 3 seasons and they had 2 rebuilding years if you count 2018.

The other they got extremely lucky and didn’t even have to fire him.

Phil hasn’t had to lift his wallet much except to extend Mario and get the two coordinators onboard.
