Participant12/17/2020 at 11:16 am #21750A program that is actually serious about winning.

Participant12/17/2020 at 11:27 am #21752He took less money than market value so his buyout isn’t unattractive when a job he really wants open up. He’s trying to be smart but it’s still a dumb move by him. His stock will never be higher than it was with the interest from Auburn. Oregon is a 8-4 team next season at best.

Participant12/17/2020 at 11:50 am #21754Wrong again Ballz. Becomes the second highest paid coach in a conference where he has one or two challenging games a year. Still has Miami on his radar and better SEC jobs than Auburn. And all he has to do is continue to recruit well and stay nationally relevant. Home run for Mario.

How is his stock high after going 3-2 and having an awful defense all season? The dude is valued for his recruiting; do you think his recruiting is going to get worse? I have to say, after watching you go all hair-on-fire about Cristobal being gone and mass flips out of their recruiting class, it seems like the reality was that Cristobal is now more entrenched at Oregon than ever and one receiver not named Franklin went to USC and a couple of scrubs got processed to make room for probably higher-rated guys. For as much time as you spend following Oregon and posting about them on a Husky site, you seem to know very little about them. Maybe stick to the Huskies.

Participant12/17/2020 at 6:15 pm #21761I’m afraid there’s a good chance that Oregon gets Apu Ika…the LSU transfer DT. He’s announcing something on Monday.

Participant12/17/2020 at 6:54 pm #21763It is hilarious that fans of other teams come on to this site and ask why we post about their team and imply that we are obsessed with them… you are the ones that are here on a Husky message board obsessing over us.

Lol “one or two” challenging games a year? The Pac-12 is a meat grinder. Any team in the North can beat Oregon next season plus UCLA and Utah as well. Cristobal won’t stay relevant and he’s not recruiting well enough to consistently win (as you can see from their last two games).
Their D-line will be a wet paper bag next season for any team with a decent run game to blast through. Every Oregon game will be them trying to out-score teams. But that’s hard to do when the other team is running the ball all over them and controlling time of possession, therefore, limiting the amount of possessions Oregon gets.
The excuse will once again be, they’re a “young team”. That’s what happens when you have a shit load of attrition. Cristobal peaked in 2019. Oregon is trash as fuck and won’t be good again until they have a super veteran team again. They are a good team once every four years type of program.

Nobody got processed bro. Oregon lost three commits two weeks before Signing Day. Had the UW game not been cancelled, they probably would have lost one more. Three decommits is a lot from a UW fan perspective. We haven’t had three decommits in three years.
I never said Cristobal would be gone. You clowns love to pretend I said shit I never said. In fact, I said I hope he stays at Oregon because he’s a shit coach and shit coaches get exposed the more games they coach. I mean, just look at your shit defense in Cristobal’s third season as head coach. It’s funny how quickly you quooks forget about that because you’re so thankful he didn’t dump you for Auburn. Your team’s performance in the seasons to come won’t match the recruiting rankings bro. Not even close. Cristobal is the Clay Helton of the North.

Participant12/17/2020 at 8:53 pm #21768Don’t really care a out it. But Oregon looked really unmotivated this season.
Could just be covid and this conference having no shot at the playoffs though.
But the way their fans act about his recruiting he should be steamrolling everyone. He didn’t last year. He’s not this year.
Who knows. We need to concentrate on us, and actually play in a conference championship game next year.
It could come down to just not dropping games like them, like in 2018.

Participant12/17/2020 at 9:50 pm #21769UW has already shown, as has USC and UCLA for decades, that great classes can often end up mediocre on the field.
Don’t think Monte Cristo will do anything big.

Participant12/18/2020 at 12:28 am #21772I don’t get all the Clay Helton hate: the dude won a Rose Bowl a few years ago, and will probably end up undefeated in the Pac 12 this year. One Rose Bowl win and two conference titles in the last four years is nothing to sneeze at. What has Washington done in the last 20 years that was better than that?
I would like to see the Pac 12 have multiple good teams and get some of their respect back in the country. What I want to hear from Husky fans on a Husky website is how the Huskies are improving, not all about the Ducks. If i want info on the Ducks, I will go to a Duck website, and I’m pretty sure they aren’t talking about the Huskies in every other thread. When I was a kid, Husky fans didn’t talk about Oregon, they were too busy watching their team kick butt. Pretty soon at this rate, the threads here will also be about the Beavers, who probably should have won that game if it was called right. It’s time for the Huskies to get their program together and start caring about winning.

Participant12/18/2020 at 9:30 am #21773We’re there.
Joe Klatt a former Buffalo QB said UW is the best football team.
Petros Papadakis former USC LB said …UW is the best football team
Mike Pawlaski former Cal QB ..said UW would have been a tougher matchup. We are already a better team. Our OL is better our DL is better. Hell
even our LB are better. Secondary is clearly better.I don’t have Oregon on my mind. I just observe and I haven’t seen the Oregon
this freaking insecure since 70-21. It’s full on panic mode. Literally there
were Oregon fans crowing about how it’s over the rest of the Pac now that Mario
is staying. What kind of retarded shit is that? USC is probably going to kick Oregon’s ass
tonight. They know they can just rough Shough and he’ll start to to implode and
the SC secondary will be the best they’ve faced all season so Moorheads wheel routes
to Dye ain’t going anywhere. But them Oregon “croots”.
Here’s why Jimmy is going to beat Mario more than Mario beats Jimmy.
Mario Cristobal – Former Offensive Lineman
Jimmy Lake – Former Defensive Back8 out 15 UW recruits are 240 lbs and up.
6 out of 20 recruits are 240 and upJimmy is a size queen self admitted. The UW will not be getting small anytime soon. This is
where Jimmy and Petersen diverge. Petersen loved small guys.Give it a few years the Duck fanbase will be calling for Cristobal.

100% agreed on too much Duck talk here.
Disagree on OSU probably should have won the game if it was called right. There was an entire quarter left in the game, in which we outgained them 408 yards to 252 yards, and got 50% more 1st downs. We showed the ability to come back in the second half, twice, from much larger deficits than we would have been down (only 4 points) had they scored a TD on the early 4th quarter drive. It certainly could have been a loss, but “probably should have won” seems like an overstatement.

UW has done more than shit Oregon and shit USC have the past five years. You can say they didnt win any of the three straight NY6 bowl games they went to, that’s fine. But while they were playing in those games, Oregon was losing to Boise State in the Vegas bowl and USC didn’t even make it to a bowl game.
It’s retarded to puff out your chest about a one-hit-wonder Rose bowl season when the seasons before and after that season were trash as fuck. It’s about sustaining success and doing it year after year. I would have loved for UW to get more favorable bowl matchups from 2016-2018, but that didn’t happen like it did for USC and Oregon. But UW losing those bowl games doesn’t erase the double-digit win seasons that got them there. Sustained success and consistency is why UW is rightfully considered the best program in the conference right now. Oregon can have the bullshit internet recruiting rankings. They’re like preseason rankings, they mean nothing. UW will just keep winning and being the better program.

Says the poster that goes by John Law, an Oregon fan pretending to be a neutral, complaining about content on a Husky site.
