Chris Petersen said he was leaving the program in good hands. The players left are for the most part, are players he recruited and made promises to. Accountability and responsibility are the foundation of his OKG philosophy. Bearing that in mind he should actively consider coming back as an interim coach to save the program from the damage this season will cause in terms of transfers out and poor recruiting.
Given the financial limitations, this may be the only way to salvage the program.
Losing the rest of the games is not improbable or perhaps only getting past a putrid Arizona team and losing the rest is likely.
