They are reporting that Kaho is in the portal. Honestly he made a mistake going to Alabama. I would still take him put him in the room and see what happens. Its litigated our LB room is subpar until it’s not. Will be interesting if we make a move on him.

Participant02/19/2021 at 8:30 am #23497Alabama LB Ale Kaho, a former five-star LB in the 2018 class from the West Coast, has entered the transfer portal. He's made 33 tackles and blocked three punts in his three seasons with the Tide.

Participant02/19/2021 at 8:35 am #23498I’d love to see Ale come. It was likely his family’s decision to
Go to Alabama not his.1+ -

Participant02/19/2021 at 8:38 am #23499No thanks. We only would get one year out of him and need to get some of these younger LB’s game time.

Participant02/19/2021 at 9:28 am #23500He is in the a similar boat as Martin 2 to play 3, this year doesn’t count. Thus if he only stayed one year that means he balled out and jumped to the draft I can accept that. The young guys have not showed much in there playing time If your good they will win the job.

Participant02/19/2021 at 9:31 am #23501No thanks. He sucks. We all should have known he was a bitch when he cried while committing to UW on his official visit and didn’t just pay someone to take the Spanish class for him.
He’ll boost someone’s special teams for a year and then he’ll be asking “paper or plastic?” after that.
I’d rather have Jackson Sirmon who at least has real playing experience under his belt.

Participant02/19/2021 at 9:37 am #23502I’m confused on this thinking he has better stats than Martin with a higher ceiling, I prefer talent he played at Alabama and just being at Alabama playing and practicing on a daily basis for three seasons is better than Sirmon’s 4 games last year I don’t hold grudges with kids leaving or choosing other schools for whatever reason.

Participant02/19/2021 at 10:33 am #23503I know it was Alabama but he was essentially a special teams player. Biggest red flag to me is he got beat out by a freshmen for defensive snaps.

Keymaster02/19/2021 at 11:05 am #23504A lot of LB’s do well on special teams and transition to LB nicely. Azeem was one example. Eifler another.
I’d bet a lot Kaho is way better than Jackson Sirmon.
We definitely should take him if we can.

Participant02/19/2021 at 5:12 pm #23507Nip8, there is no competition between Alabama linebacker room and UW’s our best player is a walk on. He is good but Alabama is another level.

Participant02/19/2021 at 5:19 pm #23509Alabama is on a historic run the talent daily is next level no player in UW’s linebacker core is probably getting special teams run That’s a fact. We just took a 3rd stringer from Texas A&M definetly take second stringer former 5* with 2 years from the greatest and deepest program in NCAA history

I see the point but at the end of the day he’s a talent upgrade over what we have on our roster. Yeah he’s just another guy at Bama but we’re not Bama. Bring him on and see what he can do. I bet he’d start this year next to Ulofoshio.

Participant02/20/2021 at 1:14 am #23516Alabama is not SO much better than UW that a guy at the bottom of their ILB depth chart who got beat out by Freshman would immediately start for us. GTFOH with that shit. I’d bet money that when Sirmon and Kaho are both finished with their college careers, Sirmon will be the more accomplished player.

Participant02/20/2021 at 4:53 am #23518@Ballz, yes Alabama is soooo much better than UW under Saban they have become arguably the Greatest program in College Football history no team in the country has nobody is close to their level of depth and that’s not debateable. Just because Sirmon has a better career at a lower program does not mean he is a better player.

Participant02/20/2021 at 10:36 am #23519I don’t know if Kaho could come in and start. That’s relying a lot upon is HS performance
but most of the ILB who are starting for the UW have a full season of reps and that experience
means a lot at the next level.Kaho isn’t coming and I doubt they even contact him because the situation of him getting released
from his commitment was so dirty. As for Sirmon. All this kid needs to do is understand the play and what gap needs to be shot.
It’s clear Sirmon loves to chase guys down laterally down the LoS but if he could be a more solid
gap filler it would flesh out his game.0
