on HH they showed Utah’s first td and Asa looked less then excited to engage the QB as he was going into the endzone, meanwhile Eddie is almost running over Asa to get a shot in.

Eklund on Dawgman made a comment on Asa’s lack of physicality in the run game as well versus the Utes.

Many (including myself and Notre Dame) thought eventually he would drop down into the LB box.

For those who re-watch the games and are more dialed into his recruitment is this a red flag and should we be concerned or will time and experience help him become the player many think he can be.

Don’t remember the play but he might just be trying to avoid a late hit penalty.

I don’t see an issue with him at all, this was just his worst game of the 3 this year.

I’ve seen Asa’s timid behavior in that play and other run support plays. It’s clearly not a strength of his to be physical.

I think the coaches started Alex Cook thinking he’d bring physicality to the other safety position and he’s shown that he’s not the enforcer that they need and he’s a liability in pass coverage which is why Cam Williams is starting to get more reps in games.

I think what is going to happen is that next year they’ll be looking to see if a large strong body like Jacobe Covington is ready to start getting some field time.

I don’t see the coaches moving Dom Hampton to Safety so we’re certainly going to rock with what we have now.
