I said Dylan Morris would become the starter at some point in his career when he was signed two years ago. Everybody wrote him off and called him a career backup. Some though UW should have taken Cale Millen instead of him. I said he’d be good. I said he had a quick release and a way stronger arm than you’d expect from a guy his size. I said he was accurate and made good decisions. I said he’d be similar to Trace McSorely. Check, check, check, check and check. Hell yeah Morris! Get some baby! HAHAHAHA I fucking knew it. We have a young baller at QB people! Soak it in. No more waiting and hoping our STARTING QB gets better over time and stops shitting himself. Fuck that shit. Morris is a good player right now. I’m very impressed. Once he gets those deep balls dialed in he’ll be elite.
I said this O-line would be dominant. I said it would be the best O-line in the conference. I said Coach Huff was a good coach and not just a good recruiter. Every single lineman playing right now was developed by Huff. Kirkland and Wattenberg have made completely seamless position switches. Morris could flip pancakes in the backfield because he has so much time to throw. They’re running all over these pussy ass defense even with the RB’s missing holes at times and leaving meat on the bone. The discipline on the hard counts has been fantastic. These guys are not playing like they have three new starters and two returning starters playing different positions. Give credit where credit is due. Scott Huff is a fucking stud in every way. Petersen’s blocking schemes were outdated. Donovan has brought the type of offense Huff has wanted to coach since he’s been here and so far, it’s working wonders. I wonder what these in-state 2022 O-line recruits are thinking right now? Better jump on board early before UW runs out of spots.
When Donovan was hired, I said people need to wait to judge him until they see what he can do. Just because the guy wasn’t a know name on the market doesn’t mean he sucks. I don’t know how any Husky fans could be anything but thrilled right now with the night and day change the offense has made since last season and with Donovan’s play calling. Between Puka’s drop third down pass (again) and McMillan’s dropped deep balls, this offense could have put 60 points on the board tonight in a little over THREE fucking quarters. This is the style of offense I fucking LOVE! This is WASHINGTON football! I don’t need to see the rest of the season to know John Donovan was a HOMERUN hire. He is EXACTLY what UW’s offense needed.
I also told you what we saw from the offense last week wasn’t going to be the offense all the time. What a hilarious and massive overreaction by so many fans. If only people would listen to me. Just chill out, take a deep breath, and think rationally next time.
By they way, where the fuck you at Sonics? I thought all the QB’s sucked? I thought the O-line sucked? I thought John Donovan and Jimmy Lake suck? I fucking told you bro. All you did all offseason was push negativity. You need to check your “sources” or find some new ones because you were wrong about everything. I told you none of these QB’s are going to look good going against this secondary in practice. And no, running the ball 75% of the time is not what Jimmy Lake wants to do you fool. You and many others got fucking TROLLED by the mastermind. Jimmy Lake is playing 3D chess. Try to keep up.
All offseason I said this team was going to dominate and should easily be the favorite to win the North and the conference. That was back when they still had Levi Onwuzurike, Joe Tryon, Tuli Letuligasenoa, and Laiatu Latu. Imagine how good they’d be right now with those guys. We lost our entire starting D-line and still dominated an Arizona team upfront that ran the ball all over USC last week. I was right to make that statement back then and this team could still dominate everybody left on their regular season schedule with a completely backup D-line.
I told you Jimmy Lake knows what the fuck he’s doing. He’s been unfairly doubted relentlessly by a bunch of couch coaches all offseason. The physicality, poise, and swagger he’s bringing this team is night and fucking day from last season under Petersen. He’s an immediate upgrade.
And to all the Oregon fans reading this, yes, we can and did just replace a Hall of Fame head coach with a better one because Petersen was no longer at the top of his game his last season at UW and Jimmy Lake is a fucking phenom and a mastermind and his star is on the rise. He’s cocky because he’s worked his ass off to know the game inside and out on both sides of the ball and he backs his shit up and I fucking LOVE IT! God I love that man. Btw, your head coach got demoted by Nick Saban from O-line coach to Tackles and TE’s coach whereas Saban wanted Jimmy to be his Defensive Coordinator. What does that tell you?
To my fellow Dawgs fans, just sit back, relax, crack open a cold one, and enjoy the show because this team is in good hands going forward and it’s going to be a really fun ride for years to come. These guys are just getting started. So many young players are playing all over the field. This team will only get better. I’m seeing the playoffs in the near future.
A few notes: Jalen McMillan is going to be incredible. He’s not going to keep dropping those deep TD’s. Nobody in this conference can run with him down the field. They’ll keep feeding him those opportunities and he’ll start making those plays.
ZTF is a monster. SO much lower body power. He can win with speed but can also convert speed to power and bull rush his tackle into the QB’s lap. Another lowly, lightly-recruited 3-star kid. It’s almost as if our coaches are good at evaluating talent or something. He deserves to be Pac-12 defensive lineman of the week again.
Eddie Ulo is a DUDE. Best ILB we’ve had since 2016 Azeem Victor. I guess Jackson Sirmon nutted up and got his shit together this week. I’m glad I was wrong about him needing to be replaced (as all of us were). I thought he had a good game and played a lot faster and more physical.
Jacob Bandes is going to be really good. His confidence is growing quickly. He’s stout versus double teams and his bull rush looks more powerful than Greg Gaines’ did when he was a RS Freshman at UW.
I think Kirkland and Curne are the two best tackles in the conference and Henry Bainivalu is one of, if not the best Guard in the conference.
Cam Davis is clearly the most talented RB in the rotation and needs more carries. Kamari Pleasant has proven why he shot up the depth chart. What a PLEASANT surprise he’s been. I’m not going to bitch about the deep RB rotation as long as they give the ball to the hot hand. McGrew deserved to start the game based on last week but didn’t have it tonight so they quickly went with somebody else instead of trying to force the issue with McGrew which was great to see.
I’m seeing zero ego with Jimmy Lake in terms of his willingness to admit mistakes or making logical in game personnel adjustments. Those two things were an issue with Chris Petersen as we saw with the midget brigade at WR last season. Jimmy is putting guys on the bench when they don’t produce and he’s doing it immediately during the game. Not waiting until after a few losses pile up and heat from the media and fan base finally convinces him to play certain players less and others more.
Lastly, I’ll go ahead and make a new prediction. Might as well ride this wave of being right so much. JT Tuimoloau and Emeka Egbuka are going to look great in purple and gold. The JUICE is back in this program baby! I’m so happy to see it! The future is bright. I love you guys. Go Dawgs!
