I’ve always seen them not as a coronation of impact/performance, but as an indicator of respect within the conference. So about the massive 0regon snub this year… Wilner verified it as historically unprecedented… but of course he won’t wade into those waters too deeply.

I know they neg-recruited Smalls, but are they really that bad across the conference? Seems like that’s a bad model, will come back to bite them- but of course, they don’t care as much about local kids because they cast a wider net.

Everyone knows they give bags. The other coaches in the conference don’t. Therefore, they don’t like Cristo. Seems simmple.

When you accuse one of the most respected coaches in the game like Chris Petersen of being racist other coaches are going to notice. Petersen is respected by everyone. Even Leach considers him a friend.

That is low class plus who knows all the other crap they are doing. The coaches sent a message to him.

Oregon had quite a few guys who were honorable mention. One vote here and there can be the differnence between 2nd team and HM.

Herbert should have at least made 2nd team and Jevon Holland too. Their OL are all worthy but probably diluted each other to some degree. Other than that I don’t see anything obvious.
