I’m not trying to be contrarian for contrarian’s sake, but can someone explain why there is so much optimism for Ty Jones? In the same mess of an offense Jordan Chin was far better last year. And it’s not like Ty was a some freshman that flashed some potential but just couldn’t get on the field (Hi Spiker!).
I can’t see how there’s any reasonable expectation that he is above Chin, Spiker, Bynum, or Nacua on the depth chart. Let alone McMillian. Unless we go just back to just starting based on seniority.
Ty redshirted this year. Hth
True, but despite his redshirt this year he did get on the field in the final three games of the season and didn’t record a single receiving stat. So not a lot of reason to project an impactful 2020 based on when he did play this year.
As a comparison, Hunter Bryant came back after missing most of the year last year and had a significant impact on the games he did play in.
