You’re struggling badly @Passion. If we’re talking about recruiting, all that is relevant when it comes to QB’s is how talented they are, how highly they were sought after by good programs, and how they were rated coming out of high school. Shit like that is how we know if the coaches are doing a good job recruiting or not. Sure, some won’t pan out and will transfer down the road. That’s the nature of the position and the majority of the QB’s we recruit nowadays are going to transfer because only one of them can be the starter and nobody wants to be a career backup. But that’s irrelevant to recruiting. The point is, recruiting QB’s is obviously different than recruiting every other position on the team. The QB position is dependent on a bunch of other positions around him for that QB to be successful. QB recruits are looking for talented offensive players to play with at the next level which UW has. That’s why that position recruits itself at UW and why we can have an OC with zero charisma like Jonathan Smith or John Donovan and still get quality QB recruits to come here. Therefore, it’s stupid to give a fuck about John Donovan’s personality. If he’s a good OC, his personality won’t matter, and top QB recruits will continue to come to UW.
