He sucks. Weak arm. We’re not desperate. Like I said before, these transfers want to be guaranteed the starting job before hand and we have too much QB talent on the roster to do that. No point in bringing in a guy that’s less talented than Sirmon and Morris to take reps away from them. We will be fine at QB. Stop mistaking being aggressive to add quality competition to the QB room with being desperate for a JAG transfer QB.
You also said a proven second team all conference player in KJ Costello sucks and is worse than Dylan Morris.
We’ll be fine at QB worked out so well in 2014, 2004 and 2006.
I said he’s always injured and yeah, Morris has way more arm talent than he does. And Sirmon has more arm talent than both of them. Costello’s arm is surprisingly weak considering his size. He has a Jake Browning level arm. The ball just hangs in the air too long and he under throws deep routes. Browning was 1st-team All-conference and Pac-12 offensive player of the year at one point so I don’t care about Costello being 2nd team two years ago.
It would have been nice having a guy on the roster who has actually played before and proven he’s at least not going to shit himself under pressure like Eason did. Sirmon and Morris are both confident guys. We’ll be fine. Costello would have likely been better for just the Michigan game and that’s it. After that we’d likely be better off in the long run with Sirmon or Morris because of the upside that comes with their superior talent. I’m highly confident in the QB’s we have.
