Everyone has forgotten how good KJ Costello is. His 2018 would be the second or third best statistical year for a Husky QB ever. I love Sirmon’s upside but having a proven veteran QB with 29 starts in this conference sure is comforting.
Also this notion that he’s injury prone just isn’t true at all. He started 11 games in 2017 and 13 in 2018. He was injured last year on a play. Big difference than constantly being injured. Eason missed time before coming here then didn’t miss a start or wasn’t even banged up throughout the year.
Plus for those worried if Morris or Sirmon transfer? Well if Sam Huard is as good as we think he is they’ll like transfer after spring of 2021 anyways.
If Costello beats out Sirmon then we improved. If Sirmon beats out Costello we feel even better about Sirmon.
Well said, this is pretty much exactly how I feel. Close him, Jimmy.
For those saying that’s not how you build a program. Tell that to LSU, Oklahoma and Ohio State. Tell that to WSU whose best season in school history was due to a grad transfer.
This is college football going forward. We are Washington Husky fans. Not Jacob Sirmon fans. Not Dylan Morris fans, etc. Root for the team not the individual.
