One month later, we made a terrible hire and Jimmy is clearly not the guy for the job.
1) Another straw man.
2) Evaluations of situations should change with new evidence. Not doing so is stubborn and irrational. We can debate the quality and meaning of evidence, but anybody that maintains opinions shouldn’t be subject to change with new information isn’t very good at thinking.
You have zero idea of what is going through Jimmy’s head and what his plan is. And because of that you are jumping to conclusions about how he doesn’t know what he’s doing. This isn’t about holding someone accountable, this is just being irrational.
You are going so hard on this that it seems a lot like overcompensation to me.
Like you are nervous about how things are going too (because we all should be) and that upsets you so…shoot the messenger to make yourself feel better.
That’s fine. This is a place where disagreement is okay.
My viewpoint has always been the same, I don’t know if Jimmy will work out, it’s all a crap shoot. My take has always been to just give Jimmy the resources and power to make whatever decision he wants which they have and let him hire/fire whoever he wants. And in a year from know we can judge him on his decisions but to complain about him a month into the job is pointless but if that gives you joy in life then go ahead.
