I’m not sure more offers east of Texas is the answer. If the staff isn’t getting the majority of their targets out west, why would we think that they’d be able to get those in the east? Those recruits are going to be less familiar with UW as a brand and therefore require more work to sell on the program.
All in all, I think we need to button things up out west first. We have amazing talent in Washington for the foreseeable future. California always has tons of talent. We see at least a few good players out of Nevada and Utah every year. We’re trying to make some headway in Texas.
Treading into SEC territory is going to present all kinds of new difficulties that this staff hasn’t proven it can overcome in their own backyard.
