Also, Morris is going to be the starter like I predicted a year ago. I should have never listened to you doogs who were saying it was going to be Sirmon. Sirmon is clearly running third to Morris and Thomson right now.
Morris is a talented QB. Stop shitting on him because he’s not big. He’s got a strong arm, good mobility, fast release, throws a tight spiral, good accuracy, and he’s a smart kid who will get better as the season progresses. He’ll be UW’s version of Trace McSorely in time. Just don’t expect him to be that good and light the world on fire week one. It’s probably not going to happen.
Yeah I was shocked to hear “the truth” in that Thompson and Morris were likely running 1 & 2 right now.
It’s clear that the UW sees mobility as almost equally important to accuracy. I watched Thompson’s highlights against ASU and another FBS Power 5 team and he’s got a little something. Experience is huge and he’s been in situations against teams with superior defenses getting pressure. That confidence is hard to beat against guys that can count their throws in a game on one hand.
Thompson knows he doesn’t have to be superman. He’s got more talent surrounding him than he’s ever had he just needs to feed the players.
