So Ballz it sounds like you are saying that all these blue blood schools don’t really do their homework on evaluations and just throw out offers to any kid with a 5 star rating. And UW on the other hand is so superior on their evaluation process that they see a 3 star kid as superior to a 5 star kid. Riiiight. I guess that’s why we are winning all these national championships with our lower rated kids and scrubs like Alabama and Ohio State and Clemson are screwing the pooch with all their higher rated talent. Yeah I think I follow now. I gotta say all these underachievers on the UW staff must love your way of thinking.
No, Alabama, OSU, and Clemson win because they offer a shit load of highly rated kids all over the country and then select the best ones that they actually want out of that large pool of talent and sign most of them. Not all 4 and 5-star rated recruits are the same. Not by a long shot. Those Top-3 schools do their homework and get the best of the best while schools like Oregon scoop up as many overrated 4-star recruits they can find, most of which, never amount to shit in college.
I seriously doubt Sawchuck is a recruit Bama, OSU, or Clemson would actually take. He’s a better fit in a soft league like the BIG-12 playing against soft defenses in a basketball-on-grass style of offense. He’ll be a great fit at Oklahoma catching passes out of the backfield and rarely running the ball between the tackles. UW is trying to win a national championship. Not get to the playoffs and get obliterated every time by bigger and more physical teams like Oklahoma does. If Schlenbaker was living in SEC country right now, he’d be rated much higher. That’s why he’s already getting interest from SEC schools as a “3-star” kid all the way up in Washington. Maybe if you stopped being such a whore to the star ratings you wouldn’t be such a cranky little bitch all the time Nip. Lighten up.
Crystal Ball does point to Oklahoma right now for sawchuck.
