The quality blocking and WRs at UW is way better than Sac st. He’s well-versed in working out of a shotgun spread offense where the emphasis is on RPOs and spraying the ball around, plus making off-platform throws, and being able to tuck and run.
In that sense he has an advantage in JD’s offense.
I haven’t gotten the impression that, that is the type of system we are going to run. Could be wrong though. With the season being so short, we need someone to win us games immediately. Maybe Thomson would be the best bet.
Jimmy calls it “pro style” but that is just semantics, you can still power run in the shotgun and also have multiple WRs on others. Watch LSU’s offense from last year then watch Thomson’s highlights from last year. Split the difference and that’s what UW’s will probably look like. With more running.
