Oregon is starting to trend in the 5-10 range for recruiting classes. We are still in the 10-15 range. The 10-15 range makes you competitive for conference championships but that is the likely ceiling. I count 4 good recruiters on staff in Malloe, Lake, Adams and Huff. That’s just not enough. If you’re gonna battle and beat Oregon you better keep up in the talent race. I think there’s too much mediocrity on the staff when it comes to pitching talent. If the Ducks get Chip Long that puts us another step behind because he’s a top notch recruiter.
