I get why people want to break from Pete’s offense. However, Moore spent four years running Pete’s offense, but two years running Detroit’s and another two running Dallas’s. What makes you think he’d install the Petersen offense?
Detroit and Dallas both were under Scott Linehan who runs a version of the WCO that is very similar to what we currently run here.
In other words, Moore doesn’t have a lot of experience in anything other than what we run currently. And we need a divergence.
Fair enough. But Moore took over that offense and made it better although given a short leash. What I don’t like about Moore’s offense is that it centers around Dak. Zeke would pass block way too much.
Our offense has lacked identity under Pete. He just ran plays. And they were slow developing plays. My wish for the next OC: 1) use the RBs in the passing game, 2) be really good at screens, 3) exploit the middle of the field, 4) get better at hot reads, 5) counters
We were bad at all of these things.
