I think ultimately with Carson it’s fine. But you just don’t want a ton of those guys.
For me, I think I’d *REALISTICALLY* like
5 top 100 players (yes it’s realistic)
10 other 4-star types (yes, it’s realistic)
5 physically rare 3-star types
2-3 kids like Carson who have great ability, but aren’t there size-wise.And out of this I would like 8-10 kids every year in-state. Peacock, Utschinsky, Beresford, Evan Weaver, etc.
I think we should always let ties go to in-state guys while maintaining the overall structure I was just talking about.
Carson would have been great as our third take behind Bothello and Herbig. I think he will grow, but it’s definitely a risk.
Your class makeup is perfect, and reflects the 19 class pretty close minus Ngata and Charbonnet like you mentioned. Those two would have made that class just about perfect.
HAVE to get it done in 21. It is the best opportunity we will have to get a top five class for probably another several decades. All national champions have had at least one top ten class and have averaged out to top ten over 3 or 4 years. THIS IS OUR FUCKING CHANCE! Get it done this year, Jimmy, or all this was for nothing.
