Think 2016 was more dominant and was the perfect blend as everyone on here has stated in the past. Although 2016 had the benefit of a good offense.
In 2018 our offense was terrible and our defense had to carry us in wins. Both Utah wins, Colorado at home(LOL), Stanford to an extent(won turnover battle by 3 yet only won by 4 I believe). Defense also kept the Rose Bowl from getting away from us completely(held an explosive Ohio State to 28 and only 7 second half), did everything they could to win the Cal game for us, even Auburn dominated them for two straight quarters but our offense couldn’t put them away.
Next year need a safety to emerge. Curious what they do with Molden? He’s reached too good to just be a nickel corner like Kevin King. Curious if they play him on outside like they did King as a senior? Use him like they did Baker in 2016(Molden started bowl game at safety) which is starts at safety but moves down to slot corner on passing downs.
Taylor/McDuffie on the outside with Molden at slot is a nightmare to passing teams.
