The 2016 defense was so fun to watch, much more exciting than the 18 defense, which David Woods described as a boa constrictor that slowly suffocated opponents (great analogy imo). I think this D will be a mix of both. This defense will be deeper than either of those squads, but I don’t know if they will have the same level of top end players as 16. The top playmakers on D next year will probably be Elijah, Levi, Tryon, McDuffie. I would probably take Budda, Healthy Azeem, Vita, Sidney and Kevin King over that group.
